My wife would probably say I have a bit of an Obsessive Compulsive Disoder (OCD) when it comes to Pens. I would say that it has gotten a bit better. I really like the extra fine point, black ink, roller ball (or gel ink) pens. They don't have to be expensive. No matter what I find though, I will always be in pursuit of what I consider to be the perfect pen.
Great capture! I really like the shininess of the photo. :) I definitely know what you mean about pens though, they never seem to quite satisfy what I want.

@e.: Thanks. I guess I am not alone.
Very nice image here. I like the DOF especially.

@GJC: Thanks.
Oh My Gosh! Me too! I hord pens...I can't get enough of them and I am always looking for the right one. Too funny! I love this picture with the one red pen. I still think you should blow them up as a set of three pics and hang it in your office. You do have an office, right? If not, build one just to accomodate the pics :0)

@Tracey: Sounds like we might have enough here to start and OCD Pen Club. :-)
I don't have a home office, but I do have an office at work. Although it is sounding as though I may be moving to another one soon. Same size, etc., just 3 doors down from where I am. It is flattering, but not sure they are worth building an office for.
Me, I have trouble finding a pen . . I have dozens around me but none to hand when I need one!

@Ronnie 2¢: Buy more. :-) My wife has to pull me out of the pen aisle at stores.
Don't tell me... I have a mug full of pens right here at my desk. Recently I had my boss order ink pens that come with an eraser :)) Great light here btw. Green background is suitable.

@Vikram: Cool and thanks.
what a great shot, again you take the most interesting pictures! I also am always looking for that perfect pen, I am very picky about how pens write. So your not alone ....

@kimberly Cook: bigpawgraphics.com: Thanks for the compliments! If I did ever find the perfect pen I am not sure what I would do. I guess I would have to buy stock in the company and begin a pursuit for something else.
A fitting finale! It looks like you may be visible (taking the shot) in the reflective surface of the Pilot pen on top. And while we're all admitting our "things" for pens…I have to admit that I've developed a lust for the gel ink variety. Very creative series, Bonj!

@Ron: Thanks. It is likely the camera as I had it on a tripod trying to get it as close into the lightbox as I could. I was using the viewfinder and low enough and far enough away I don't think it would have gotten my reflection. Thanks again.
This is my favorite of the pen series. Clear, excellent color and selective focus. Very nice. We have bens in every room of the house!

@Anita: Thanks. It sounds like all of us here might keep the pen companies in business for a while.
Great macro photo. Even the most simple things like pens make a great shot!

@HaleyS: Thanks H. It didn't turn into a pen thing until I got older. When I was a kid in school they basically wouldn't let you use ink, so back when I was in school it was a pencil thing. I wouldn't write without a .5mm pencil. It has progressed to ink, as it is more the norm as an adult, and it flows more smoothly than a pencil.
