Missouri Capitol Series #1 of 13
Very cool, Bonj! I've lived in Missouri most of my life and have never been inside the state Capitol building. It's beautifully ornate. I would have liked this shot better if you could have gotten rid of those pesky people on the upper level and centered that circular opening. BTW, you're linked photo on Thursday Challenge is not your chair and hutch but your slide image.

@Ron: Thanks. Yes it is a beautiful building. Hopefully you'll get a chance to see it in person someday. I am sure I'll be back to take more photos at some point. I'll have to see about trying to center it at some point. I was trying to get in as much as I could while keeping the staircase and archway to the Governor's Office centered. I thought it might give it more interest, but looking at it I could see where having the circular opening off center could actually be more distracting.
Thanks for the heads up on my Thursday Challenge post. I have messed my post up there a couple of times in the not to distant past. I'll check with Dale, he is usually great about changing it (and quick too).
Holy cow Bonj! I think this one of my all time favorites of yours. Bravo my friend! (Oh, and I hate to disagree with Ron, but I like the pesky people there. It adds life to the picture and also gives it a sense of size.)

@Tracey: Wow! Thanks! I will let you and Ron fight that one out. :-)
As windows are rather prominent for you, you might find another one you like in this series.
If this is the Mr. Governor's building, then the Mr. President can be jealous! Wonderful and well captured, not the most easy light-dark distribution!

@Illuci: Thanks Erik. This is the building where the Governor's Office is located. He also has a residnence provided for him, aptly called the Governor's Mansion. I have a picture of the back of it coming up on May 17th, but have uploaded a couple of more that you can see now (1, 2).
Beautiful architecture! Well framed!

@Vikram: Thanks.
I can see this will be a great series . . already loving the detailed decoration here . . and the scale from those figures up above. Nicely composed.
