Missouri Capitol Series #7 of 13 Senator's Office
Unfortunately I have not had time to respond to comments, so this is a thank you for any comments you might leave.
I am surprised in this day and age, post 9/11, that you are allowed this close to a senator's office. Nice job giving us the "inside scoop."

@Tracey: As the sign on the door says, "PLEASE COME IN", one can walk right up and go right in. You are basically in a small reception area at that point. I believe most have a couple of assistants and beyond them would be the senator or representatives office. If available and you have a concern I imagine you could discuss with the assistant to see about talking to senator.
Of course, you also see the Senators and Representatives walking around the Capitol. The Capitol Police patrol the Capitol and other state properties, but there really is nothing special between them and the constituents.
There was more security at the Capitol, as there was at the Truman Building where I work, after 9/11. They even built little huts outside our building where Security Officers had metal detectors that one had to go through before entering the building. Once they realized they did not have the money in the budget to continue such security, they stopped and removed the huts. The huts were really a waste of time and money. If one truly wanted to get in, it is likely that they could have.
This is a great shot, Bonj! That brightly lit inner office versus the strong contrast of the hallway and door really give this shot an edgy feel. Very nice! Next time you see Senator Green give him my best regards ...

@Ron: Thanks. Not sure I'll actually run into him, but I'll try to remember if I do. :-)
This is a classic shot -- I have never been in THIS state capitol, but used to work at the State House in Boston, and the feel is so similar. Dark wood, diplomas on the walls...

@Pied Crow: Thanks.
I love how this shot is composed. Gives a peek inside!
