Pay

Carla Steck, founder of Jefferson City's Art Inside the Park, approached me as I was taking photos at the Capitol a while back to see if I could take some shots of the PAY sticker, as her battery had run out on her camera. As I understand it, it has to do with the HOPE posters of Shepard Fairey made popular during the Obama campaign and the controversy surrounding Mannie Garcia photograph for the Associated Press (AP) and who owns the photograph and the legalities of derivative works of art and should one have to PAY for the rights.

Geoff "HARGO" Hargadon created the PAY sticker.
